True Love...

Image
I found this story a very heart touching one...jus wanna share with u friends....   My husband is an Engineer by profession, I love him for his steady nature, and I love the warm feeling when I lean against his broad shoulders. Three years of courtship and now, two years into marriage, I would have to admit, that I am getting tired of it. The reasons of me loving him before, has now transformed into the cause of all my restlessness. I am a sentimental woman and extremely sensitive when it comes to a relationship and my feelings, I yearn for the romantic moments, like a little girl yearning for candy. My husband, is my complete opposite, his lack of sensitivity, and the inability of bringing romantic moments into our marriage has disheartened me about love. One day, I finally decided to tell him my decision, that I wanted a divorce. “Why?” he asked, shocked. “I am tired, there are no reasons for everything in the world!” I answered. He kept silent ...

A Blind Girl

Image
There was a blind girl who hated herself because she was blind. She hated everyone, except her loving boyfriend. He was always there for her. She told her boyfriend, 'If I could only see the world, I will marry you.' One day, someone donated a pair of eyes to her. When the bandages came off, she was able to see everything, including her boyfriend. He asked her,'Now that you can see the world, will you marry me?' The girl looked at her boyfriend and saw that he was blind. The sight of his closed eyelids shocked her. She hadn't expected that. The thought flooking at them the rest of her life led her to refuse to marry him.. Her boyfriend left in tears and days later rote a note to her saying: 'Take good care of your eyes, my dear, for before they were yours, they were mine.' This is how the human brain often works when our status changes. Only a very few remember what life was like before, and who was always by their side in the ...

Having a Best Friend

Image
A story tells that two friends were walking through the desert. During some point of the journey they had an argument, and one friend slapped the other one in the face. The one who got slapped was hurt, but without saying anything, wrote in the sand “Today my best friend slapped me in the face”. They kept on walking until they found an oasis, where they decided to take a bath. The one who had been slapped got stuck in the mire and started drowning, but the friend saved him. After he recovered from the near drowning, he wrote on a stone “Today my best friend saved my life”. The friend who had slapped and saved his best friend asked him, “After I hurt you, you wrote in the sand and now, you write on a stone, why?” The other friend replied “When someone hurts us we should write it down in sand where winds of forgiveness can erase it away. But, when someone does something good for us, we must engrave it in stone where no wind can ever erase it.” Moral: Do no...

A Friendship Story

Image
While i was checking some usual e-mails yesterday evening. To my surprise i received a mail, with a title bearing “To Dear Friends” . I thought it’s a usual forwarded email from my friend and postponed reading it later. So after i checked my e-mails  i casually opened it and find this quite pleasing story about friendship. So i thought of posting the message in my blogs.   Please read on..    A man and his dog were walking along a road. The man was enjoying the scenery, when it suddenly occurred to him that he was dead. He remembered dying, and that the dog walking beside him had been dead for years. He wondered where the road was leading them. After a while, they came to a high, white stone wall along one side of the road. It looked like fine marble. At the top of a long hill, it was broken by a tall arch that glowed in the sunlight. When he was standing before it he saw a magnificent gate in the arch that looked like mother-of-pearl, and th...

Nostalgic Friendship Day....

Image
Nostalgic Friends...... The first Sunday of every August is Friendship Day. This year it's August 1.     Nine years ago, on a wet monsoon day, the three of us stood outside Ernakulam's Sridhar Movie Theatre. This movie hall have been an institution for cinema buffs for generations. My two friends and I were no exceptions. It was the first day first show of Dil Chahta Hai , a story about three friends unsure about where life would take them. Three hours later, when we came out of the hall none of us spoke for the longest time. I would like to believe that the same thought was running through our heads: Where would we be ten years later? None of us spoke of it though. Guys never bonded that way then and I think they don't even now. The following year, Arun changed colleges and I chose a subject that Gerin had no inclination for.  We rarely shared the same classroom and the scythe of time took its toll. Before we knew it, we bega...
